Vocational Training for Disabled Youth

Swabalambi: meaning self dependence is the project implemented by VIRD to enable the differently-abled youth to engage them in gainful employment. Indo-American Education Fund supported the initiative of VIRD to impart training on cellular phone repairing to 25 youth in Mahidharpur village of Angul district.

Design Training Development Workshop

25 women artisans benefited from implementation of 15-day training programme on Appliqué making. The target group belonged to Natada village of Angul block in Angul district. The programme was supported by the development Commissioner (Handicrafts) under the aegis of the Ministry of Handicrafts, Govt. of India. Training was imparted by master craftsman empanelled by the DC (H). It was residential in nature.

Vocational Training Programme

VIRD imparted the following training to develop the skill of rural youth. The programme intended to empower the youth economically and self dependence.
